A Fresh Honey Grove Surface Replaces a Worn Deck in Burlington, NJ
See how we resurfaced this deck in Burlington, NJ with Trex Enhance Honey Grove decking, a white vinyl railing with black aluminum balusters, and lattice skirting.

A deck resurface finished with Trex Enhance Honey Grove decking, a white vinyl railing with black aluminum balusters, and white vinyl lattice skirting.
Before we started, this Burlington deck had an aging red-stained wood surface and a wheelchair accessibility ramp running along one side. The layout worked for what it needed to do, but the wood had weathered over the years and the deck was ready for a full refresh.

The plan called for a resurface with a slightly smaller footprint, cutting the deck back from 18-by-32 to 16-by-32, and replacing the ramp with a standard staircase. We rebuilt the surface in Trex Enhance composite decking in Honey Grove, framed with a matching picture-frame border and stair treads, and finished the fascia and stair risers in white PVC. A white vinyl railing with black aluminum balusters runs the full perimeter, closed up below with white vinyl lattice skirting and an access gate for the space underneath.

What was a weathered wood deck and ramp is now a clean, resurfaced outdoor space with room for both dining and lounging, finished top to bottom with details like a post-cap solar light and a curved handrail return that most builders skip.

If your deck's layout needs to change along with a fresh surface, whether that's a different footprint or a different way to get on and off it, we'd be glad to walk through what a resurface like this one could look like at your home.
