A Bare Concrete Stoop Becomes a New Front-Entry Deck in Allentown, PA
See how we built a new front-entry deck on this Allentown, PA home, featuring Deckorators Venture Sandbar decking and a black aluminum railing.

A brand-new front-entry deck built on helical piers, finished with Deckorators Venture Sandbar decking and a black aluminum railing.
Before we started, the front of this Allentown home had nothing more than a bare concrete stoop and a few steps up to the door, tucked under the home's existing covered porch roof. It was functional, but it didn't offer much of a place to actually sit outside.

We built a new front-entry deck on helical pier footings in the same footprint as the old stoop, finished in Deckorators Venture composite decking in Sandbar with a single-board picture frame border and matching fascia. A black aluminum railing with 2.5-inch posts runs the perimeter, and composite skirting with an access gate closes up the space below.

The result is a proper deck under the existing covered porch roof — enough room for seating right at the front door, finished with the same clean black aluminum look used throughout our projects.

If your front entry is still just a stoop or a few plain steps, a small front-entry deck like this one can turn that space into somewhere you'd actually want to sit. We'd be glad to take a look and talk through what that could look like at your home.
