A brand-new elevated deck and A-frame screened porch finished with Deckorators Venture Sandbar decking and a white vinyl railing with black aluminum balusters.

This Easton home was new construction, and like most new builds, it came with a set of temporary stairs off the back and no deck at all — just a straight drop from the door to the yard below.

The new-construction home before the deck was built, with only temporary builder stairs.

We built a new 13-by-16 elevated deck off the back of the home, topped with an A-frame roof screened porch finished with a 42-inch knee wall, charcoal shingles to match the house, and a white soffit ceiling with a ceiling fan installed inside. The support columns and roof beam are wrapped in white vinyl and PVC to match the porch trim, closing up the space below into a clean, finished look.

A closer aerial view of the deck's wrapped support columns.

The open deck section is finished in Deckorators Venture composite decking in Sandbar, framed with a single-board picture frame border, and enclosed with a white vinyl railing and black aluminum balusters down the stairs to the yard.

What was an empty stretch of siding and a bare set of stairs is now a full outdoor living space, with room to sit outside in the open air or step into the screened porch out of the sun and bugs.

If your new-construction home is still missing its outdoor living space, we'd be glad to walk the property with you and talk through what a deck and porch build like this could look like at your home.
